Key Performance Areas

  • Cleaning of offices, reception area, corridors, boardrooms, kitchen, restrooms, equipment, state property, and assets daily. Provide routine general work and compliance services.
  • Clean other facilities in the reserve to the highest standards. Keep and maintain cleaning materials and equipment. Empty dustbins daily and dispose of all refuse appropriately in the refuse bins for collection.
  • Report safety and hazard threats in the environment. Remove and store waste in a designated area. Assist in keeping the grounds, terrace room, front and back of facilities clean and organized.
  • Report any maintenance work or issues, damages, or missing items to supervisor promptly. Check bathrooms cleanliness regularly. Request and replace toilet papers and hand soap. Clean windows on the inside and outside.
  • Store all cleaning equipment and products neatly in the designed cupboards. Provide assistance with the preparations of meetings in boardrooms. Request and manage cleaning materials and equipment.

Prerequisites

  • An NQF 3 qualification Grade 8 / ABET / AET certificate or equivalent as recognized by SAQA.

Person Profile

  • Must be able to function in a team. Willing to receive guidance and instructions. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment and products, application thereof according to specified cleaning techniques to ensure acceptable clean and neat appearance of building. Understanding of basic hygiene practices.
  • Chemical handling skills. Knowledge of cleaning products and applications. Ability to read and write. Communication and listening skills. Planning, organising and people skills.
