- An established organization in the insurance industry, known for its commitment to professional excellence and a collaborative team environment, is seeking a dedicated Claims Consultant to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This role offers a unique opportunity for career growth within a respected company, responsible for managing the full claims process from registration to settlement.
Where You'll Make an Impact
- Register and manage insurance claims from inception through to settlement
- Ensure claims exceeding authority are referred to insurers promptly
- Investigate and process claims in line with company procedures and insurer requirements
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date claims records and communications
- Monitor claims analysis reports and ensure balances are accurately reflected
- Verify claim payments for accuracy before processing
- Liaise with clients, service providers, assessors, attorneys, and insurers to facilitate efficient resolution
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
Requirements
- NQF4 in short term insurance
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a short term claims environment
- Knowledge of insurance claims processes and procedures
- FAIS compliant with RE5 qualification
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and management abilities
- High level of integrity
Nice to Have
- Additional certifications or experience in claims management or customer service within insurance
What We'll Give You
- Salary: R20,000 - R25,000 per month (Cost to Company)
