The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, validating, and processing technical warranty and service-related claims submitted by dealerships. The ideal candidate must have a Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate together with a Diagnostic Technician Certificate or Master Technician Certificate , as well as solid dealership experience and strong technical knowledge of motor vehicles. Detail: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assess and evaluate technical, warranty, and service-related claims submitted by dealerships. Review repair documentation, technical reports, diagnostic findings, and supporting information. Verify that repairs and claims comply with manufacturer specifications, policies, and procedures. Investigate claims to determine whether repairs and associated costs are valid and justified. Identify discrepancies, irregularities, incorrect repairs, and potential fraudulent or high-risk claims. Evaluate diagnostic processes and repair methods used by dealerships. Liaise with dealerships, technicians, service departments, and internal stakeholders regarding claim queries. Provide technical guidance and clarification on warranty requirements, repair procedures, and claim submissions. Ensure claims are accurately assessed and processed within required timeframes. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation relating to all claims assessed. Prepare claim reports, recommendations, and relevant management information. Monitor recurring claim issues and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with maintaining and improving warranty and claims assessment processes. Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 / Matric. Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate – ESSENTIAL. Diagnostic Technician Certificate OR Master Technician Certificate – ESSENTIAL. Previous motor dealership experience – ESSENTIAL. Strong technical knowledge of motor vehicles, diagnostics, repairs, and workshop procedures. Experience working with technical warranty or service-related claims will be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of manufacturer repair standards and technical procedures. Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Good administrative and report-writing abilities. Computer literate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. IDEAL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will be a qualified Motor Mechanic with Diagnostic or Master Technician certification who has gained strong technical experience within a motor dealership environment . The candidate must be able to understand complex technical information, investigate claims thoroughly, identify discrepancies, and make sound recommendations based on technical evidence and manufacturer requirements.
