Claims Administrator – Short-Term Insurance

A dynamic and client-focused insurance brokerage is looking for an experienced Claims Administrator to join our team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the full claims lifecycle across a range of short-term insurance products, working with multiple insurers and ensuring efficient, compliant and client-focused claims handling.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing claims from registration through to finalisation;

• Liaising with insurers, clients and service providers;

• Managing claims under both binder and non-binder mandates;

• Ensuring accurate and timeous claims administration and follow-ups;

• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers and service providers; and

• Providing excellent client service while ensuring compliance with company and insurer requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 3–5 years’ short-term insurance claims experience , dealing with multiple insurers;

• Previous experience with Santam products and the Santam Policy Centre is mandatory ;

• NQF 4 in Short-Term Insurance or currently studying towards it;

• RE5 qualification will be advantageous;

• Strong administration and relationship-building skills;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.);

• Experience with TIAL will be advantageous;

• Experience with task management/CRM systems;

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans ;

• Excellent communication and attention-to-detail skills;

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; and

• A positive, professional and team-oriented approach.
