Introduction

GoBid, a leading salvage company, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Afrikaans speaking Claims Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless processing of claims, minimizing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, organized, and committed to delivering fast, effective, and professional service to our suppliers, branches, and clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Query Resolution

  • Promptly action and resolve queries from suppliers, branches, and clients via email and telephone.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Liaise with internal teams to facilitate seamless claims processing and resolution.

Financial & Cost Management

  • Obtain authorization from suppliers for payment of release fees, ensuring adherence to agreed rates and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Implement strategies to eliminate unnecessary costs to the company.
  • Resolve outstanding appointments as per SOPs and ensure all pending vehicle upliftments are addressed before expiry.

Claims & Process Management

  • Monitor stock receiving at branches and promptly notify suppliers regarding successful or unsuccessful vehicle upliftments.
  • Conduct daily follow-ups on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Log detailed and accurate comments on the GoBid system to document incidents and track progress.
  • Ensure all claims are processed in compliance with supplier agreements and company policies.
  • Negotiate rates for release fees and towing services to optimize cost efficiency.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
  • Relevant industry qualification is advantageous.
  • 2-3 years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within insurance claims or salvage operations.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in business writing and communication.
  • Professional and courteous telephonic manner with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans (non- negotiable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and other relevant business applications.
  • Negotiation skills for managing costs related to release fees and towing services.
