Civil Engineer / Technologist

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Technologist to join their growing engineering team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered professional who has extensive experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, manage multiple responsibilities, and mentor junior team members while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Requirements

• BTech: Civil Engineering or BEng Tech: Civil Engineering.

• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.

• 7–10 years of post-graduate municipal infrastructure design experience.

• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D capabilities.

• Experience across water, sewer, stormwater, roads and parking facilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects through all project phases.

• Design municipal infrastructure including water, sewer, stormwater and road networks.

• Prepare Civil 3D drawings, grading models, corridors, feature lines, surfaces and volume calculations.

• Compile engineering specifications, reports and technical documentation.

• Produce quantities and cost estimates for tender submissions and construction projects.

• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed site reports.

• Mentor and support junior engineering professionals.

• Maintain high technical standards while meeting project deadlines.
