Civil Engineer | Building and Development Projects

Are you a Civil Engineer with practical experience in building civils and a sound understanding of local municipal requirements? Our client is looking for a technically capable professional who can step into the role confidently and contribute to projects across Cape Town. The successful candidate will bring relevant development experience and an understanding of how to navigate the City of Cape Town’s procedures, technical requirements and approval processes.

What You’ll Be Responsible For: ·        Provide civil engineering input on building and property development projects. ·        Coordinate design information, technical submissions and project documentation. ·        Engage with municipal departments and project stakeholders to support approvals and compliance. ·        Ensure civil works align with approved designs, project specifications and applicable regulations. ·        Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to keep projects moving efficiently. ·        Identify and address technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Need: ·        BEng in Civil Engineering. ·        Demonstrable experience in building civils or development-related civil engineering. ·        Familiarity with City of Cape Town processes, standards and approval requirements. ·        Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities. ·        A proactive approach and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Candidates with relevant building civils experience and local municipal knowledge are encouraged to apply.
