CIMA Clerk

Introduction

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CIMA Clerk to join our team and gain valuable experience within an audit environment . This position is ideal for a candidate who has completed a relevant accounting degree and is looking to develop their career in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals, assisting with audit engagements and financial statement preparation. Previous practical experience is not essential; however, it will be advantageous if candidates have exposure to the systems and software listed below.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform full audit planning for client engagements.

• Complete and document relevant audit programmes.

• Prepare lead schedules and lead sheets.

• Compile, maintain, and review Excel-based audit working papers.

• Prepare and maintain electronic audit files in accordance with IRBA standards.

• Assist with the preparation of audited annual financial statements.

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date completion of timesheets.

• Liaise professionally with clients and team members.

• Perform general audit and accounting-related duties as required.

• Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks when necessary.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Completed Accounting Degree.

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Software & Systems Experience (Advantageous)

• Draftworx.

• Sage Online.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
