A leading Student Accommodation Property Development and Management Company is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team at its Head Office in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial & Investment Officer (CFIO), you will drive financial integrity, operational excellence, governance and business performance while leading Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Legal & Compliance functions. About the Role As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's financial performance while partnering with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver long-term strategic growth. You will oversee the financial management of a large, asset-heavy, multi-site property portfolio, ensuring robust financial controls, operational efficiency, business resilience and scalable growth. This role combines strategic financial leadership with operational oversight, enabling informed decision-making across property development, property management and student accommodation operations. Detail: Key Responsibilities Executive Financial Leadership Lead the Group's finance function across all business units. Develop and execute financial strategy aligned to business objectives. Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning. Provide strategic financial insight to the CEO, CFIO and Executive Team. Deliver accurate statutory and management reporting. Lead treasury, tax, working capital and cash flow management. Optimise financial performance, profitability and operational efficiency. Operational Finance & Business Performance Drive revenue optimisation and margin improvement. Monitor occupancy, rental collections and operational performance. Improve cost control across the property portfolio. Partner with operational teams to improve business performance. Support property development funding and project finance. Lead operational financial reporting and performance analytics. Drive business process improvement and operational excellence. Minimum Requirements Qualifications CA(SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification (non-negotiable). Experience Minimum 15 years' senior financial leadership experience. Executive CFO or Finance Director experience within asset-heavy, multi-site organisations. Experience in Property Development, Property Management, Student Accommodation, Commercial Property, Residential Property or Hospitality. Proven success driving operational efficiency, cost control and business performance. Strong understanding of property development finance, operational asset management and portfolio reporting. Experience leading Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal & Compliance functions. Strong commercial, strategic and operational leadership capability. Non-Negotiable Requirements Employment Equity candidate. CA(SA) qualification. Senior CFO or Finance Director experience. Experience within an operational, asset-intensive, multi-site environment.
