We're partnering with an established construction & engineering business looking to appoint a CFO to bring greater financial discipline and commercial rigour to its next phase of growth. This isn't a generalist CFO opportunity. Deep, hands-on cost and project accounting experience is essential. Working closely with the CEO, operations and commercial teams, you'll ensure project performance is visible early, commercial risks are identified proactively and financial insight drives better business decisions. Detail: What you'll bring: CA(SA) or CIMA. Proven executive finance leadership experience. Deep, hands-on cost and project accounting experience. Strong understanding of contract accounting, WIP, cost-to-complete methodologies and contract revenue recognition. A track record of partnering with operations and commercial teams to improve project profitability. Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and commercial reporting capability. Experience within construction is preferred; engineering, mining and other project-driven industries will also be considered. Experience strengthening financial discipline within a growing, established business. Based in Johannesburg, with occasional travel to support the Cape Town finance team.
