• A recognised financial qualification is essential. • Approximately 7 years relevant experience as a Financial Manager and/or CFO, together with meaningful leadership and management experience. • Strong practical accounting knowledge, including bookkeeping through to Trial Balance and General Ledger. • Solid experience in financial and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management. • Strong understanding of IFRS, financial controls, statutory compliance and audit requirements. • Experience working within a multinational or international Group environment would be highly advantageous. • Strong leadership and people-management capabilities. • Excellent commercial and business acumen. • High levels of integrity, accountability and confidentiality. • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. • A practical, hands-on and solutions-oriented approach. • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Responsible for the overall financial management, financial control and financial reporting. • Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, Income Statements, Balance Sheets and cash-flow reports. • Managing month-end and year-end reporting. • Preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts. • Analysing financial performance, trends, risks and variances. • Maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance. • Managing Group reporting, IFRS reporting and intercompany reconciliations. • Liaising with international Group Finance regarding reporting and accounting requirements. • Managing cash flow, banking and working capital. • Providing financial oversight of debtors, creditors and inventory. • Managing foreign currency exposures and overseas supplier payments. • Maintaining effective internal financial controls and safeguarding company assets and funds. • Managing external audits and supporting Group/internal audits. • Ensuring compliance with tax, VAT, PAYE and other statutory requirements. • Providing financial oversight of inventory valuation, costing and gross margins. • Overseeing payroll from a financial-control perspective. • Leading, developing and managing the finance team. • Providing commercial and strategic financial advice to the Managing Director and management team. • Identifying opportunities to improve profitability, margins, cash flow, working capital and operational efficiency. • Supporting the organisation through its continued business development, turnaround and rebuilding initiatives.
