- Appropriate qualification that allows registration with HPCSA as Audiologist or Speech Therapist and Audiologist
- Registration with HPCSA as Audiologist or Speech Therapist and Audiologist
- A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as Audiologist after registration
- HPCSA accredited Additional Training in Cochlear Implant Mapping and Rehabilitation
- Willingness to work overtime and be involved in research projects
- Competency in assessment and management of patients with hearing loss, severe to profound sensorineural hearing loss
- Good management, administrative, supervisory, problem-solving skills
DUTIES
- Manage clinical caseload within Cochlear Implant Unit including Assessment and management of patients for cochlear implant candidacy, intra-operative and post-operative testing, programming mapping and rehabilitation
- Co-operate, train, consult and collaborate with outside agencies
- Assist with management of physical, financial and human resources in Cochlear Implant Unit
- Supervise staff and train under- and post-graduate Audiology students
- Undertake and participate in research
