- A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or B Com Degree with financial accounting/management as a major subject NQF 7
- Computer literacy: MS Office
- 5-8 years relevant experience of which 2 years must supervisory experience
- Proficient in English and at least one other official language of the Western Cape
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Manage and control the verification and provision of information related to billing services transactions
- Manage and control the provisioning of billing services regarding water and electricity and the administration of sundry debtors, cashiering and receipting
- Administer rates and taxes in accordance with laid down legislation
- Manage specific administrative and accounting procedures involving updating and adjustment of the Valuation Roll and property rates data information
- Direct the implementation of specific procedures, systems and controls associated with key functional areas
- Manage the Financial aspects of the Rates and Taxes Division
- Co-ordinates and controls tasks/ activities associated with supervision of staff and controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline
- Maintain the revenue recordkeeping system
