Introduction

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized   CHEP Pallet Administrator to join our team in Mobeni. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing pallet movements, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders. This role is critical in supporting efficient warehouse operations and cost control, while offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor pallet movements internally and externally.

Manage pallet control in warehouses and at customer sites nationally.

Update customer details on the Chep database.

Capture and reconcile daily pallet movements to and from depots/customers.

Track pallets de‑hired off the Chep account and resolve outstanding queries.

Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliations of pallet costs and counts.

Liaise with customers on pallet issues and recoveries.

Raise queries for incorrect charges and transfers.

Perform daily reconciliations of physical pallets in warehouses and in transit.

Manage pallet collections from customers and ensure documentation is verified and updated.

Conduct biweekly stock takes, including 3rd‑party warehouses.

Present reconciliations and outstanding totals to management and sales teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in pallet administration, warehouse, or logistics environment.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Experience with Chep pallet systems or similar will be advantageous.

Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Package & Remuneration

Salary: Up to R18,000 per month (based on experience)
