Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
About the Role
The Chemical Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a chemical warehouse, ensuring the safe storage, handling, and distribution of chemical products. This role leads warehouse staff, maintains inventory accuracy, enforces health and safety standards, and ensures compliance with all relevant chemical handling and hazardous goods regulations. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational skills, committed to operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and management of warehouse staff.
- Oversee warehouse and distribution operations.
- Ensure compliance with chemical handling, storage, and safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and stock control.
- Prepare operational and inventory reports.
- Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within chemical logistics.
- Strong knowledge of chemical warehousing, transportation, and safety regulations.
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- SAP knowledge is essential.
- Computer literacy and report-writing skills.
