A leading international organisation within the agricultural and chemical manufacturing sector is seeking a Chemical/Process Engineer to join its production and engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about process optimisation, manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement and technical problem-solving. The successful candidate will provide specialist chemical and process engineering support to ensure safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing operations. Detail: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, safety and cost performance. Provide day-to-day process engineering and technical support to manufacturing and production teams. Analyse plant performance, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve overall equipment effectiveness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. Optimise chemical processes, unit operations and production systems. Investigate and resolve complex and recurring process-related operational problems. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions. Support the introduction of new products, processes and technologies into manufacturing. Support product transfers and process scale-up activities. Manage engineering and process improvement projects from concept through to implementation. Work with internal stakeholders, contractors and engineering service providers on projects. Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure plant changes are properly assessed, approved and implemented. Support Process Safety Management initiatives, including process risk assessments, HAZOPs and incident investigations. Maintain and update process safety information and relevant technical documentation. Monitor and improve plant reliability, production capacity, operating costs and environmental performance. Provide technical input into equipment and process modifications. Support production teams in resolving operational and process-related issues. Ensure compliance with HSEQ, engineering and process safety standards . Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and process documentation. Use data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improved plant performance. Contribute to a culture of manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency . MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree / BEng in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering . 2–5 years' experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment. Practical experience in chemical processes, manufacturing and unit operations . Strong understanding of process technology and process optimisation. Experience in continuous improvement and data analysis . Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical and process-related problems. Experience in project management and project implementation . Good understanding of process safety principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, quality, maintenance and other cross-functional teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Willingness to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment . ADVANTAGEOUS Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience or certification. SAP experience. Experience with HAZOP, process risk assessments and Management of Change . Exposure to chemical formulation or agricultural chemical manufacturing. Experience with OEE improvement and manufacturing excellence . Knowledge of HSEQ and process safety legislation.
