Drive the success of a nationally recognised Certified Pre-Owned programme while shaping dealer performance and customer confidence. Our client is seeking an experienced Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Manager to develop, implement, and manage its OEM Certified Pre-Owned programme. This strategic role is responsible for growing certified used vehicle sales, protecting brand residual values, ensuring dealer compliance, and enhancing the customer ownership experience through industry-leading standards. Working closely with dealers, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, you will drive programme performance, optimise profitability, implement best practices, and strengthen the Certified Pre-Owned offering across the dealer network.   • Develop, launch, and manage the OEM Certified Pre-Owned programme.
  • Grow Certified Pre-Owned sales volume, profitability, and market share.
  • Increase dealer participation through innovative programme initiatives.
  • Monitor dealer performance and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Implement improvement plans for underperforming dealerships.
  • Ensure dealer compliance with OEM certification, warranty, inspection, and customer experience standards.
  • Conduct dealer audits to maintain programme integrity.
  • Support dealers with used vehicle sourcing, stock mix, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor trade-in performance, auction activity, and gross profit.
  • Ensure certified vehicles meet OEM inspection, mechanical, cosmetic, and service history standards.
  • Protect residual values through pricing analysis, depreciation monitoring, and market benchmarking.
  • Manage warranty programmes, certification processes, roadside assistance, and warranty cost control.
  • Develop and execute national and dealer-focused Certified Pre-Owned marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver dealer training on vehicle appraisal, inspections, certification, digital retailing, and finance opportunities.
  • Manage programme profitability through effective control of warranty, certification, marketing, and operational costs.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • OEM Certified Used Vehicle accreditation is advantageous.
  • 5–10 years' experience within the automotive retail industry.
  • 3–5 years' experience managing used vehicle operations.
  • Experience working within an OEM or dealer group environment.
  • Strong understanding of Certified Pre-Owned programmes.
  • Dealer network management experience.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with digital vehicle sales platforms.
  • Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of vehicle valuation, appraisal, market pricing, auctions, and remarketing.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills.
