Employer Description
Our client is a South African built environment consultancy specializing in quantity surveying, development management, project and programme management, infrastructure development solutions, property valuations, and facilities management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
You will
- Measure and prepare accurate cost estimates, valuations, and project pricing.
- Update project forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor and control site expenditure to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Review and approve material orders in line with project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify work completed, and identify cost implications.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project teams on commercial and operational matters.
- Assist with cost reporting, variations, and final accounts.

Qualifications
- BSc
Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a construction or engineering environment.
- Contract law and insurances
- Quantity surveying principles and practice
- Basic financial reporting
- Construction methods, programming, and scheduling
- SHEQ legislation
- Basic IR and relevant labour legislation
