Job Title: Cashier - Paarl Start Date: 2026-07-28 - 2026-08-27 Vacancy Type: Permanent CPT000472 Sectors: Retail Location: Western Cape , Paarl Salary: (Market related) Brief: Our client a liquor store is looking for a reliable, honest, and customer-focused Cashier to join our client in Paarl. Detail: Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Scan and process purchases accurately. Handle cash, card, and electronic payments. Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift. Verify customers' age before selling alcohol when required. Assist customers with product enquiries and promotions. Pack purchases neatly where applicable. Keep the checkout area clean, organised, and well-stocked. Report pricing discrepancies and stock issues to management. Assist with shelf packing, merchandising, and stock replenishment during quieter periods. Support stocktakes and general housekeeping duties. Help prevent theft by following security procedures. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Previous cashier or retail experience preferred. Experience in a liquor retail environment is advantageous. Basic numeracy and computer skills. Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts. Reliable transport to and from work. Fluent in English; Afrikaans will be an advantage. Clear criminal record. Professional appearance and attitude. Strong cash handling accuracy. Physical Requirements Able to stand for extended periods. Able to lift and move stock when required.
