An established oil and gas company is looking to employ a Cash Forecast Analyst for a 12-month contract. This person will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts, monitoring actual cash movements against forecasts, identifying liquidity risks, and providing management with clear visibility of expected cash inflows, outflows and funding requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead change management.
- Support to operate all SOX and internal controls in line with the Group controls framework.
- Perform relevant follow ups for reconciliation processes ensuring all control requirements are met on a timely basis.
- Prepare detailed analysis of cash flows within the entity, combining information from several different data sources (both internal and external) and used historical trends.
- Take care of liquidity management for entities without pooling agreement and make financial decisions (e.g., deposit, FX, swap, loan etc.)
- Support team members in performing the daily tasks. Independency in finding solutions, taking pro-active approach towards problems and accountability for delivering assigned activities with strong data accuracy and high quality.
- Lead additional special projects and ensure sustainability of the process post implementation.
- Provide variance analysis with deep understanding of the reasons and draw conclusions for the future, cooperate closely with Treasury Analytics and Settlements Team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related field.
- 3–5 years' relevant experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with large financial datasets.
- Strong understanding of cash flow and working capital.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sage, Xero or similar.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and changing information.
