We are looking for an experienced Cash Controller to join our Vereeniging Branch on a permanent basis . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in getting the numbers right and understands the importance of strong cash and payment controls.

Key Performance Indicators

• Manage and accurately process all client payments, including cash, card, EFT and COD transactions .

• Ensure all monies received are accurately captured, recorded and reconciled.

• Verify payments prior to the release of stock, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly authorised.

• Perform daily cash-ups and banking processes .

• Investigate and resolve any payment or cash discrepancies.

• Capture daily takings and maintain accurate records using Excel .

• Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained and readily available.

• Follow established cash-handling and internal control procedures.

• Assist with general administration and ad hoc duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.

• Previous experience in cash handling, cashiering, cash control or a cash office environment is essential .

• Previous experience with cash-ups, reconciliations and banking processes .

• Experience in a retail or high-volume transactional environment would be advantageous.

• Mathematics or Accounting as a subject is advantageous.

• Good computer literacy with strong Excel skills .

• Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.

• High level of integrity, honesty and reliability.

• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet daily deadlines.

• Contactable references are required to verify previous experience and employment.
