No previous carpet or upholstery cleaning experience is required — full training will be provided. Previous experience in cleaning, detailing, upholstery, carpet cleaning or other practical, hands-on work would be an advantage.
The role The work involves cleaning carpets and upholstery at customers' homes and businesses, using professional cleaning equipment and our cleaning methods. The role also involves occasionally lifting and moving furniture, so applicants should be reasonably fit and comfortable doing this safely.
You will need to be
- Reliable and punctual
- Hard-working and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in customers' homes and dealing with customers respectfully
- Careful with customers' property and able to follow instructions
- Reasonably fit and comfortable with some lifting and moving of furniture
- A non-smoker
- In possession of a smartphone and able to use WhatsApp and a job-booking app
Availability and how the work operates This is a casual, as-needed position. When jobs are available, you will receive job requests and can accept the jobs that suit your availability. There is no obligation to accept every job request.
Most jobs are offered the day before, although same-day requests may occasionally come up. Most jobs are around 4 hours, although this can vary.
We are looking for someone who is generally available for casual work on weekdays and Saturdays and who can often accommodate next-day work when their schedule allows.
As the business grows, there is potential for this to become more regular work for the right person.

For jobs you accept, we will generally arrange to collect you on the way to the job.
Applicants who live elsewhere may still be considered if they can reliably get to our pickup point in Scottsville.
Pay R46 per hour.
