Overall manager of the Cape Town warehouse, possessing strong management and leadership skills; responsible for clearing daily parcels for delivery, ensuring delivery rates, driver return to the warehouse, and training and managing team leaders, drivers, and operators.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Dispatch daily parcels to drivers and clear these parcels.
- Monitor and manage driver delivery performance, train, warn, and even replace drivers with low delivery rates to improve service quality.
- Parcels that drivers fail to deliver must be returned to the warehouse within 2 days.
- Coordinate and cooperate with all staff across three shifts (morning, afternoon, and night shifts).
- Reduce parcel loss and damage, minimize delivery delays, and avoid customer complaints.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Job Requirements
- Very familiar with Cape Town and have lived there long-term.
- 3+ years of experience managing large warehouses and managing teams of 30+ people.
- Leadership and influence in Cape Town; able to effectively manage and control all warehouse staff, including team leaders, drivers, and operators.
- Responsible, proactive, and with strong execution skills.
- Proficient in using laptops and Excel.
