The lodge is intimate and guest-focused, so both roles require a genuine hands-on approach and a love of remote bush living.
Core Criteria
• Previous experience in camp management or lodge maintenance, and in professional field guiding, is essential • FGASA Lead Trails qualification and valid firearm competency required for the field guide role • Strong leadership and organisational ability for the management role • Excellent guest interaction and communication skills • Comfortable living and working in a remote, unfenced reserve environment • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a small team • Flexible and adaptable; willing to step in wherever needed Core Responsibilities: Camp Manager route:
• Oversee day-to-day lodge operations and staff coordination • Manage stock control, ordering, and basic administration • Uphold service standards and guest satisfaction throughout the stay Maintenance Manager route:
• Oversee general maintenance of lodge buildings, vehicles, and equipment • Manage maintenance staff and coordinate repairs proactively • Ensure the property is kept to a high standard at all times Field Guide (both routes):
• Conduct game drives and lead walking safaris/bush walks for guests • Track and interpret wildlife with a strong focus on guest safety • Build rapport with guests and share knowledge of the reserve's ecology On Offer:
