Start free — we apply for you →Job Title: Camp Manager & Reservations/Admin Couple Start Date: 2026-08-11 - 2026-09-10 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB003424 Sectors: Hospitality Location: Limpopo , Hoedspruit Salary: (Market related) Brief: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Camp Manager & Reservations/Admin Couple to oversee the smooth day-to-day operation of a private safari camp in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. The successful couple will work together to ensure the camp operates efficiently while delivering an exceptional guest experience. One partner will primarily focus on camp operations, guest relations, staff management and lodge standards , while the other will focus on reservations, administration, bookings, accounts and office support . Both individuals will be expected to work collaboratively and support one another when required. Camp Manager – Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the camp. Ensure exceptional guest service and hospitality standards are maintained. Welcome guests and ensure a warm, personalised experience. Manage guest check-ins, check-outs and special requests. Coordinate daily lodge activities and guest requirements. Supervise, motivate and manage lodge staff. Prepare staff rosters and manage daily operational requirements. Conduct regular inspections of guest areas, rooms and public areas. Ensure housekeeping and maintenance standards are maintained. Liaise with guides, housekeeping, kitchen and other departments. Assist with stock control and ordering where required. Monitor lodge supplies and operational requirements. Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly. Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and service providers. Assist with cost control and operational budgets. Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards. Assist with emergency procedures and incident management. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Support the owners/management with operational projects and reporting. Reservations / Administration – Key Responsibilities Manage all reservations from initial enquiry through to guest departure. Respond to telephone, email and online booking enquiries. Process individual and group bookings. Maintain an accurate reservations system and booking calendar. Confirm bookings and issue invoices, quotations and confirmations. Follow up on outstanding deposits and payments. Maintain guest profiles and reservation records. Coordinate guest arrival and departure information with the Camp Manager. Communicate with travel agents, tour operators and booking platforms. Manage cancellations, amendments and special requests. Assist with monthly occupancy and reservations reports. Maintain accurate filing and administrative records. Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial administration. Process invoices and supplier documentation. Assist with petty cash and daily financial administration. Monitor office supplies and administrative requirements. Handle correspondence and general office administration. Assist with payroll information and staff administration where required. Maintain confidentiality of guest, company and financial information. Provide general administrative support to management. Couple Responsibilities Both partners will be expected to: Work as a team to ensure smooth camp operations. Assist each other during busy periods and high occupancy. Maintain excellent guest relations. Lead by example and uphold the property's standards. Assist with hosting guests and special functions. Attend to reasonable after-hours guest requirements when necessary. Communicate effectively with management and staff. Ensure the camp remains welcoming, professional and well maintained. Be flexible and willing to assist outside their primary areas of responsibility. Detail: Camp Manager Minimum Requirements Previous experience as a Camp Manager, Lodge Manager, Assistant Lodge Manager, Duty Manager or similar role . Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a luxury lodge, safari camp, hotel or hospitality environment . Strong guest relations and hospitality experience. Previous staff management experience. Excellent operational and organisational skills. Strong knowledge of lodge operations. Good understanding of housekeeping, F&B and guest services. Financial and stock-control experience advantageous. Computer literate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's licence. A hospitality qualification would be advantageous. Previous experience in a remote lodge environment would be highly beneficial. Skills & Attributes Warm, friendly and professional personality. Excellent leadership skills. Strong attention to detail. Reservations / Admin Minimum Requirements Previous experience in reservations, lodge administration, hotel reception or hospitality administration . Minimum 2–3 years' relevant experience . Strong knowledge of reservations procedures. Experience with a reservations system such as Opera, NightsBridge, Semper, GuestCentrix or similar would be advantageous. Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office. Strong administration and organisational skills. Experience with invoicing and basic financial administration advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong telephone and email etiquette. Previous experience dealing with travel agents and tour operators advantageous. A hospitality, tourism or business administration qualification would be advantageous. Skills & Attributes Highly organised and detail-oriented. Excellent administrative abilities. Able to work independently. Proactive and solution-oriented. Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment. Couple Requirements Applicants must be a couple applying together . Both candidates must be willing to live and work at the property. Previous experience working together in a lodge/hospitality environment would be advantageous. Must be comfortable living in a remote safari environment. Must have a flexible approach to working hours. Both candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills. A strong understanding of luxury hospitality and guest service is preferred. Valid driver's licences for both candidates would be advantageous. South African citizenship or valid working rights required, where applicable.
