Start free — we apply for you →- Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Cabinet Making & Installation Foreman to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in the manufacturing, finishing and installation of kitchen and bedroom cupboards, combined with proven foreman or supervisory experience. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail, excellent finishing standards and the ability to oversee a team while ensuring that projects are completed to a high standard, on time and according to specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in cabinet making and installation
- Proven experience in the installation of cupboards
- Previous foreman, supervisor or team leader experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Experience in preparing accurate cutting lists
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry materials, hardware, fittings and installation methods
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and neatness
- Good knowledge of measurements and the ability to work accurately to specifications
- Good planning, organizational and communication abilities
- Must be willing to travel to various project sites when required
- Valid driver's licence will be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise the installation of kitchen and bedroom cupboards
- Read and interpret building plans, technical drawings and cabinetry specifications
- Prepare and check cutting lists and material requirements
- Measure and assess installation areas to ensure accurate fitment
- Ensure all cabinetry is properly aligned, levelled, fitted and finished
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure high standards of finishing, detail and neatness
- Inspect completed work and identify any defects or required adjustments
- Manage tools, materials and equipment required for projects
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
- Travel to different project sites as required
- Ensure a professional standard of workmanship and customer service is maintained
