Buyer -General Expense & CAPEX

Why do we need you ?

• Drive procurement savings initiatives by identifying opportunities, negotiating commercial benefits, implementing sourcing projects and accurately recording savings within PPM systems
• Facilitate and coordinate scopes of work, with final review and validation performed in collaboration with relevant business and technical stakeholders.
• Administer digital procurement platforms including AGORA, ProContract, ProSource, Supplier Portal and Prorating, ensuring accurate maintenance of catalogs, contracts, supplier master data and audit compliance records.
• Process and manage procurement transactions in SAP, including Purchase Requisitions PRs, Purchase Orders POs, outline agreements and purchasing information records.
• Facilitate General Expenditure and Capex supplier onboarding and master data changes, including vendor registrations, banking detail updates, credit applications and compliance documentation management.
• Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships through supplier visits, performance discussions, training, project implementation support and collaboration with internal, connected and external stakeholders.
• Manage the end-to-end CAPEX procurement process, including supplier sourcing, RFQ management, bid evaluations, negotiations, supplier selection, contract award, and contracting.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to conduct commercial adjudications, ensure procurement alignment with project requirements, and support successful project execution.
• Coordinate and administer CAPEX-related payments, including down payments, progress payments, final payments, and supporting documentation in line with contractual and financial requirements.
• Oversee CAPEX project governance by maintaining contracts, certificates, compliance documentation, import shipment tracking, letters of credit, guarantees, and other project records.
• Support financial management of CAPEX projects through cash flow forecasting local and foreign currency, asset capitalization, project close-out activities, and coordination with Finance, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger teams.

Is this job for you ?

• This role requires an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field and or BCom Degree / Diploma, SAPICS / CIPS Certification advantageous . Min 5 years in in a strategic sourcing or procurement related role. Your Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of products will ensure success in this role . Ability to communicate and collaborate with different stakeholder. The ideal candidate must have analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects will set you apart and knowledge of administration and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods and coordination of people and resources wills set you apart.

• To manage the end-to-end procurement of General Expenditure OPEX and Capital Expenditure CAPEX requirements, ensuring the efficient sourcing of goods and services, execution of competitive bidding processes, supplier negotiations, contract management and procurement governance. The role is responsible for delivering cost savings, supporting project execution, maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement controls, managing supplier relationships, and coordinating purchasing activities across multiple business functions to ensure continuity of operations and successful capital project delivery.
