A leading SPAR store is looking for an experienced and motivated Butchery Manager to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the butchery department • Lead, train and manage butchery staff • Ensure excellent product quality, freshness and presentation • Manage stock levels, ordering and wastage • Maintain strict hygiene, food safety and health standards • Monitor pricing, gross profit and departmental targets • Ensure excellent customer service • Manage staff schedules and departmental administration
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Butchery Manager or senior butcher • Strong knowledge of meat cutting, preparation and merchandising • Experience managing staff and stock • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Retail/ supermarket experience will be advantageous
