Business Systems Analyst (Intermediate)

The QA Automation Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of business applications through the design, development, and execution of automated and manual testing solution. The role will develop and maintain automated test scripts, execute functional, regression, API, performance, and integration testing, and identify and track defects throughout the SDLC.

Duties & Responsibilities

The QA Automation Tester will design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for regression, integration, and performance testing to improve software quality and reduce manual testing overhead.

Key Performance Indicators

• Reduction in manual test cycles. Conversion rate of repetitive tasks from Manual tests into automated tests.

• Frequency and relevance of regression issues caught by automation.  This includes defect management for defects identified through automation.

• Contribution to automation framework improvements.

• Accurate and complete test documentation.

• Timely delivery of test results and signoffs.

• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios. Designing, writing and executing various types of test cases such as functional, integration, end-end, regression, and customer scenario testing.

• Working with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Ensuring that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.

• Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications and/ or Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• ISTQB Test Automation Engineer (preferred).

• Relevant automation tool certifications (Selenium, Playwright).

Experience and skills

• 3+ years in QA automation or software development across multiple applications.

• Proficient in scripting and coding.

• Experience with automation tools.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• API and performance testing knowledge (Postman, JMeter).

• Experience in testing enterprise resource planning (ERP) or core business applications.

• Exposure to performance testing and security testing tools and practices.

• Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).

• Strong knowledge of test case creation, defect tracking, and quality metrics.

• Experience with test management tools (JIRA)
