Business System Analyst

What youll be doing

• Analyse and document business and technical requirements
• Translate business requirements into clear system and functional requirements
• Identify opportunities to automate solutions and manual processes
• Document As-Is and To-Be process flows
• Create and maintain user stories within an Agile environment
• Produce solution overviews and detailed implementation diagrams
• Conduct and document gap analyses, impact assessments and feasibility studies
• Facilitate requirements workshops and guide discussions towards clear decisions
• Hand requirements over to internal and external development teams
• Support software testing, quality assurance and User Acceptance Testing
• Prepare test packs and project-related documentation
• Support the implementation of new and enhanced systems
• Train business users on processes and solutions
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers and cross-functional teams
• Obtain the necessary approvals and sign-offs throughout the project lifecycle

What youll need

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Business or Systems Analyst
• Formal Business Analysis training
• Experience working on software and process re-engineering projects
• Experience delivering projects within an Agile environment
• Strong knowledge of software products and software development
• Practical experience in software testing
• Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholder discussions
• Strong process-mapping and requirements-documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical ability and exceptional attention to detail

Advantageous

• A degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science
• Formal training in software development or IT software products
