- The Bridge Assisted Learning School is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Teacher to support learners within the FET phase. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering differentiated instruction, supporting diverse learning needs, and empowering students to achieve academic success and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Plan and deliver differentiated, learner-centred lessons tailored to diverse needs
- Adapt curriculum content to accommodate various learning barriers and styles
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
Assessment & Reporting
- Develop and implement appropriate assessment strategies aligned with IEB requirements
- Monitor learner progress closely and provide constructive, ongoing feedback
- Maintain accurate, compliant academic records and reports
Learner Support & Development
- Support learners with academic, emotional, and behavioural challenges
- Implement effective classroom management strategies with patience and consistency
- Promote resilience, confidence, and independent learning skills
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with school support teams, including learning support specialists and counsellors
- Develop strong partnerships with parents and guardians to support learner development
- Communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with all stakeholders
Administration & Compliance
- Complete administrative duties accurately and timeously
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and inclusive education practices
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards

Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant degree NQF Level 7 with PGCE or B.Ed FET phase, with subject specialisation IEB preferred
- Valid SACE registration and police clearance essential
- 2–5 years' teaching experience, preferably within a remedial or assisted learning environment
- Experience in differentiated teaching strategies and learner support
- Strong digital literacy and familiarity with educational technology
- First Aid certification advantageous
