Start free — we apply for you →- Our client, a leading South African manufacturer of processed meat products, supplying major retailers, wholesalers, distributors and food-service customers is looking for a results-driven sales professional to grow revenue across both their private-label manufacturing business and established product range.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 & Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field advantageous
- Proven B2B sales experience, preferably within FMCG, food manufacturing, meat or a related industry
- Established network within retail, wholesale or food service would be advantageous
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Target-driven, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Computer literate with good MS Office and CRM knowledge
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business across private-label manufacturing and branded products
- Manage, retain and grow an existing portfolio of retail, wholesale, distributor and food-service accounts
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations and commercial negotiations
- Negotiate pricing, specifications, lead times and service levels
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and identify opportunities for volume growth
- Work closely with production, quality and logistics teams to ensure excellent service and order fulfilment
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, call reports and pipeline information
- Support new product launches and promotional initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant food safety and regulatory requirements
- Be comfortable with significant travel and working in a highly target-driven environment
