We're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across our construction and distribution channels.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and managing strategic partnerships with commercial contractors, developers, and engineering firms
- Driving construction-related business opportunities both directly and through specialised dealer networks
- Securing incremental sales across the full pump product portfolio, across diverse market segments and channels
- Acting as a key point of commercial and technical support for the existing distribution network
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date, with proper follow-up documentation on every customer interaction
- Executing marketing and sales strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities
- Setting performance targets for dealers, and providing day-to-day support plus long-term development guidance
- Leading product presentations and technical seminars, running Q&A sessions, and representing the company at marketing events and exhibitions
- Monitoring and enforcing pricing policy
- Preparing customer- and region-specific sales action plans
- Identifying market needs and feeding into product requirements and forecasting
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience in industries involving technical solutions or equipment, ideally within an international organisation
- Proven experience with pump products or a closely related technical product line is essential
- A strong technical background; a degree in Engineering or Economics preferred
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Proficient across MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Comfortable working with sales reporting, CRM, and business intelligence tools
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently
- Goal-driven, customer-focused, and a strong communicator
- Organised and systematic, with solid planning and problem-solving skills
- High standards of business ethics, integrity, and teamwork
