Business Development Manager - Commercial (ICT Sector) | Cape Town

Introduction

Cape Town, Western Cape | Permanent, Full-time | Office-based

A leading ICT distribution company is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to grow its Commercial sales division in the Cape region. You'll be the primary point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships with resellers and end-users while actively identifying new business opportunities. This is a target-driven role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of ICT Enterprise products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets and deliver quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year growth

• Establish and grow a new client base within the Commercial sector

• Maintain client relationships through regular visits and engagement

• Develop account-specific sales plans and manage the full sales process

• Respond to tenders and manage tender administration

• Generate leads, follow up on pipeline opportunities and convert quotes to orders

• Deliver product presentations and attend product training and events

• Maintain the client database, forecasts and sales documentation

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Mathematics preferred)

• Minimum 5 years' experience in External Sales / Business Development

• Strong knowledge of IT Enterprise products (essential)

• Established network across reseller and end-user sectors

• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle

• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• 3+ years' account management experience in the Commercial sector

• Experience in IT distribution and sales within the IT industry

• Tertiary qualification or diploma in Sales, Marketing or IT

Package & Remuneration

Market Related OTE package, depending on experience
