Duties & Responsibilities
As their new Business Development Manager, you will
- Ensure that the company derives increased revenue thereby making or exceeding targeted profits
- Organise and lead the team as per the agreed setup and support functionally the internal stakeholders of the company
- Create a strong business relationship with the senior level sales executives of the company to identify and pursue the scope for business development
- Planning and executing of both short- and long-term revenue deriving strategies of the organisation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
You’ll need
- A minimum of 7 years commercial experience within a logistics provider, freight forwarding company or supply chain organisation, with demonstrated exposure to the Agribusiness sector essential
- MUST HAVE proof of commission earnings and sales
- In-depth knowledge of the Agriculture vertical and its unique logistics needs
- Proven experience operating at regional or multi-country level, preferably within African markets
- Matric essential
