- Servest Security has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Consultant to join the Sales Team in KZN.
- The purpose of this role is to increase market share and strengthen the company's financial position by achieving the organisation's financial, marketing, and sales targets.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Diploma in Sales and Marketing or a related qualification
- 4–6 years' sales experience within the security industry
- Knowledge of current technologies and products used in the security industry
- Knowledge of key industry role players and market trends
- A good understanding of marketing principles
- Experience using CRM software, preferably Salesforce
- A good understanding of financial principles, costing, and pricing models
- Ability to deliver presentations and represent the company at meetings, site walks, and other client engagements
- Strong sales and selling techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
- Own reliable transport
- Residing in KZN
- Clear criminal record
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify potential customers within the assigned sales zone, including identified national vertical groups, as per the target sheet, and develop a business development plan to reach them.
- Establish and maintain a sufficient pipeline of prospective opportunities to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Develop new business relationships and negotiate new revenue opportunities.
- Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and ensure that all sales administration is up to date on the CRM system.
- Prepare and take accountability for all client proposals, presentations, contracts, and other required documentation, in line with Servest's procedures.
- Support deal structuring and pricing in collaboration with the Executive Head: Business & Marketing Development, including negotiating pricing for proactive bids and proposals.
- Close business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contractual requirements with business operations.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the market and region, including prospective opportunities across all target markets.
- Report on successes, challenges, and areas requiring improvement.
- Prepare, compile, and submit reports to the relevant manager as and when required.
- Meet regularly with management and key stakeholders to discuss strategy and business development opportunities.
- Research and identify new business opportunities and viable revenue streams.
