REQUIREMENTS Minimum education (essential):

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum applicable experience (years):

  • Minimum 35 years' proven sales experience within the logistics, freight forwarding, or transport industry

Required nature of experience

• Business development and new client acquisition • International freight forwarding and customs clearance • Local road freight services • Preparing quotations and pricing proposals • Contract negotiation and relationship management • Sales pipeline management and reporting • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of international logistics and customs processes • Knowledge of local road freight operations • Experience using Microsoft Office • Experience with CRM systems and accounting software (Sage advantageous) • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Strong commercial and problem-solving abilities • Target-driven with excellent relationship-building skills Other:

• Based in Pretoria or surrounding areas • Valid driver's licence • Willingness to travel • Fluent in English • Ability to work under pressure and achieve sales targets KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND OBJECTIVES Sales & Business Development

• Identify and secure new business opportunities • Grow the international freight forwarding and customs clearance portfolio • Develop opportunities within the local road freight market • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain long-term client relationships • Understand customer requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions • Deliver excellent customer service to encourage repeat business Quotations & Contract Management

• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations • Assist with contract negotiations and closing new business • Manage bookings and shipment tracking using internal systems Market & Industry Development

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity • Identify opportunities for business growth • Apply knowledge of Incoterms and logistics regulations to support clients Reporting & Collaboration

  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales reports
  • Work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Contribute to continuous impr
