Duties & Responsibilities
The Business Centre Manager will be responsible for
Business Centre Leadership
- Managing the overall performance of a Business Centre.
- Leading and managing teams of approximately 10 to 20 employees.
- Driving a strong sales and service culture.
- Managing operational activities and performance objectives.
- Retaining and growing the existing client base.
- Managing profitability and business targets.
Sales and Client Growth
- Driving sales performance and portfolio growth.
- Implementing sales and marketing strategies.
- Managing client acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities within existing client portfolios.
- Using CRM information to support retention and growth strategies.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Financial and Commercial Management
- Preparing and motivating credit applications.
- Managing budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
- Managing a profitable cost centre.
- Conducting financial analysis and assessing business risks.
- Making commercially sound decisions that balance profitability and risk.
- Monitoring business performance and revenue growth.
Business Banking and Risk Management
- Applying knowledge of Business Banking products and services.
- Assessing credit, financial, industry, and business risks.
- Understanding client financial requirements and cash-flow cycles.
- Managing lending and credit-related activities.
- Ensuring compliance with banking policies and regulations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Minimum
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates with a Diploma may be considered if the qualification is at NQF Level 6 or higher .
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Finance.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' banking experience .
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Business Banking environment .
- Minimum 3 years' managerial experience .
- Significant experience preparing and motivating credit applications.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience managing sales performance and profitability.
- Experience managing a profitable cost centre.
