Business Architect - Security

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Architect - Security to support the development of a comprehensive security architecture landscape aligned with strategic security initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining, governing and advancing business and security architecture across the organisation. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Honours Degree in B.Com Informatics, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Engineering or related field.

• Relevant industry certification(s).

• SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture) Certification.

• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Certification.

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in Business Architecture and/or Domain Architecture.

• 5 years' experience within a Security Business Architecture environment.

Technical Expertise

• Business modelling and capability mapping

• Security architecture and reference modelling

• Threat and risk analysis methodologies

• Enterprise and security architecture frameworks, including SABSA and TOGAF

• ISO 27000, NIST and related security standards

• Architecture modelling tools such as ArchiMate, UML and BPMN

• Architecture repositories and governance

• Systems integration and complex enterprise environments

• Benefits realisation and strategic roadmap development

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Group Security Management Department business architecture landscape, security taxonomy and security reference model

• Design and implement business capabilities, services and security architecture roadmaps

• Define current and target security architectures and conduct gap analyses

• Develop foundation, reference and strategic architectures aligned to Group Security Strategy

• Govern architecture implementation and ensure alignment to enterprise architecture standards

• Support strategic investment decisions through architecture analysis and recommendations

• Participate in architecture governance forums and security initiatives

• Drive business integration and alignment across the Group

• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and security best practices

• Consult with infrastructure, product and project teams to ensure architectural alignment
