Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their growing team in Stellenbosch and support the development and delivery of innovative payment products and secure payment solutions.
The role will focus on translating business needs into clear requirements, functional documentation and processes while ensuring alignment between business and technical teams. The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with strong analytical and documentation skills who is comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
This is an intermediate-level Business Analyst role suited to someone with 3–5 years of relevant Business Analysis experience and a strong understanding of the payments environment .
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional documentation.
- Document procedures, processes and workflows.
- Support project delivery and backlog grooming within the PMO.
- Manage requirement changes and maintain accurate BA documentation.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure delivered features meet defined requirements.
- Work effectively across business and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and aligned.
- Continuously improve Business Analysis tools, processes and practices.
- Manage multiple projects and requirements simultaneously.
- Perform all other tasks related to the role.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- 3–5 years of similar Business Analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of the payments environment is crucial , including areas such as:
- Retail payments.
- Digital payments.
- Banking.
- Card schemes.
- EFT.
- Settlement.
- Acquiring.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite .
- Experience with Draw.IO, Jira, Confluence and Visio .
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and functions of the business.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's licence and own transport.
- Fluent in business English.
- Additional languages will be advantageous.
