My client based in Bellville, Cape Town is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.
IT / FINANCE
Responsibilities
- Consult with business stakeholders to identify business problems and opportunities.
- Analyse and decompose business processes and assess their impact on the business.
- Elicit, analyse, document and maintain business requirements and functional specifications.
- Assist with solution conceptualisation, proposals and business case development.
- Plan, organise and manage work to ensure successful and timely delivery.
- Align project outcomes with business strategy and solution governance.
- Work closely with the Automation team on proposed solutions.
- Ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
- Investigate production incidents and change requests and work with development teams to implement solutions.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Change Management, Training, Design, Development and Testing teams.
- Stay informed of industry trends and identify opportunities for technology and process improvements
Qualifications & Experience
- Commerce, Business Analysis, Information Systems or related degree.
- Business Analyst certification.
- 3–5 years’ relevant Business Analysis experience.
- Experience with process modelling methodologies and tools, including Lean Six Sigma and/or Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders at various organisational levels.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including Scrum, product backlog management and writing user stories.
- Knowledge or experience in Automation processes.
- Experience with project management methodologies and techniques.
- Short-term insurance industry experience.
- Knowledge of Operations Management principles.
