Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and reporting requirements.

• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.

• Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives and solution requirements.

• Document business processes, workflows, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with development, testing, and project teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Support project planning, backlog grooming, and prioritisation within the PMO.

• Manage changes to business requirements and ensure documentation remains current.

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring delivered solutions meet business expectations.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and analysis methodologies.

• Produce clear, accurate, and professional documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Perform additional business analysis and project-related duties as required.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce, or a related field.

• 3+ years' work experience as a Business Analyst within a financial services or fintech environment.

• Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including:

• Digital payments

• Retail payment systems

• Banking processes

• Card schemes

• EFT

• Settlement

• Acquiring

• Payment processing

• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

• Strong understanding of business process modelling and workflow documentation.

• Experience supporting Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.

• Proficient in:

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Jira

• Confluence

• Draw.io

• Microsoft Visio

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Package & Remuneration

R45,000.00 - R60,000.00 CTC per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
