Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and effective technology solutions. You’ll play a key role in understanding complex requirements, translating them into clear and practical solutions, and supporting successful delivery from concept through to implementation. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, analytical thinker, and confident problem solver who can engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Plan business analysis activities, clarify scope, define deliverables and support prioritisation across projects, enhancements and support items.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and review sessions to elicit, validate and document requirements.
  • Translate business needs into specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules.
  • Apply HR and payroll domain knowledge to employee data, leave, payroll inputs, reporting, compliance, integrations and configuration requirements.
  • Prepare requirement-linked test scenarios and test cases, support FAT and UAT, track defects, validate fixes, record evidence and confirm that agreed requirements are met before release or deployment.
  • Liaise professionally between clients, users, consultants, developers, testers, project managers and support teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies and change requests.
  • Support delivery through impact analysis, scope control, handovers, training input, release readiness and post-implementation support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve functionality, user experience, process efficiency, reporting quality and supportability.
  • Guide junior or less experienced business analysts where required and promote consistent analysis practices.
  • Analyse end-to-end HR and payroll processes across modules such as recruitment, onboarding, employee data, ESS/MSS, training, performance, talent, reporting, integrations and payroll-impacting transactions.
  • Produce high-quality functional specifications that clearly document the business problem, functional requirements, business rules, process flows, mock-ups, assumptions, dependencies, risks, open questions and acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain traceability between client requirements, agreed scope, decisions, specification changes, test scenarios, defects, change requests and sign-off evidence.
  • Lead clarification sessions with clients and internal teams to resolve ambiguity, confirm business rules, document decisions and move requirements toward sign-off.

• Prepare clear handover notes, release input, user guidance and support context so that implemented changes can be understood and supported after go-live. Your Expertise:

  • 5 + years of business analysis experience, preferably in software, HR technology, payroll systems, ERP, HCM or related environments.
  • Experience documenting requirements, functional specifications, process flows, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting software delivery lifecycles, change control, test planning, defect management, FAT, UAT and release readiness.
  • Working knowledge of HR and payroll processes, employee lifecycle data, leave, payroll inputs, statutory reporting, integrations and reporting requirements.
  • Working exposure to process mapping, issue tracking, test management, SQL/database concepts, reporting tools and Microsoft Office/365 tools is advantageous.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders at different levels and converting technical and non-technical inputs into practical delivery documentation.
  • Practical experience in HRIS, HCM, payroll, ESS/MSS, recruitment, onboarding, performance, talent, training, position management, reporting or related enterprise business systems.
  • Experience working in governed delivery environments where scope control, decision tracking, version history, change requests and formal client sign-off are required.

• Experience facilitating sessions with operational users, subject matter experts, managers and technical teams, including the ability to translate between business language and technical delivery needs. Qualifications:
