Job Description
Business Analyst — Fund Administration
- Location: Cape Town (Southern Suburbs)
- Reporting Line: Business Analyst Practice Lead
- Industry Sector: Financial Services / Asset Management & Fund Administration
Core Purpose & Scope
Translating complex asset servicing and fund administration requirements into scalable technical designs, process improvements, and automated solutions. This role bridges business operations, data engineering, ICT teams, and external vendors to optimize trade lifecycles, data integration pipelines, and intelligent automation across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Solution Design: Translate operational needs into detailed technical specifications, integration mapping, user stories, and API/data flow designs.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Optimize core asset administration workflows, leveraging AI, intelligent automation, and ETL tools to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings.
- Data Engineering & Systems Integration: Collaborate with data engineering and cloud teams on data modeling, system integration specs, message queues, and API-based workflows.
- Testing & Implementation: Produce comprehensive test plans, user acceptance criteria, and drive execution across software deployment life cycles.
- Controls & Compliance: Embed internal controls, security, and auditability into all process designs to mitigate operational risk.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration: Facilitate cross-functional workshops across trading, fund accounting, custody, operations, and external vendor partners.
