Business Intelligence Business Analyst
Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insights that influence business decisions?
We're working with a leading organisation looking for a Business Intelligence Business Analyst to act as the link between business stakeholders and the BI function. You'll be responsible for understanding business requirements, defining meaningful KPIs and helping shape reporting and analytics solutions that support better decision-making. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with stakeholders, BI teams and wider business functions to translate business challenges into practical data and reporting solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
Requirements Gathering & Analysis * Engage with stakeholders to understand and document BI and reporting requirements. * Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications. * Identify key business questions, KPIs and reporting requirements.
BI Solution Design * Work closely with BI and technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives. * Participate in workshops to refine requirements and explore more complex analytics use cases. * Help shape dashboards, reports and data models based on business needs.
Process Mapping & Improvement * Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve how data is captured, managed and used. * Document As-Is and To-Be processes. * Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, data quality and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement * Identify ways to enhance BI processes, reporting and user experience. * Promote BI best practices and encourage adoption across the organisation. * Manage BI-related projects and deliverables from requirements through to completion.
What We're Looking For * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis or a related field. * 3+ years' experience in Business Analysis, BI or a similar data-focused role. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. * Strong understanding of business processes, KPIs and reporting requirements. * Experience with SQL, Excel and Power BI. * Ability to manage BI initiatives and projects from start to finish. * Comfortable working across both business and technical teams. * Experience in FMCG, retail or a similar fast-paced environment would be advantageous. * Exposure to Power Automate and SharePoint would be beneficial.
