Bus Drivers

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and professional Bus Drivers to join our transport team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently while ensuring that the company`s vehicle and safety standards are maintained at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers according to scheduled routes and destinations.

• Conduct daily pre -trip and post trip vehicle inspections.

• Complete vehicle inspections sheets, trip sheets and other required documents.

• Comply with all traffic laws, company policies and road safety regulations.

• Ensure the buss is kept clean and in a roadworthy condition.

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents and maintenance requirements immediately.

• Maintain professional and courteous relationship with passengers and clients.

• Adhere to schedule departures and arrival times.

• Ensure passengers embark and disembark safely.

• Manage emergency situations appropriately and report incidents.

• Perform basic vehicle checks and ensure defects are reported.

• Comply with working hours, rest periods and company procedures.

• Assist with any reasonable transport-related duties required by management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Valid Code EC driver’s license, as applicable to the vehicle.

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) – Passengers transport, non-negotiable.

• Valid Driver’s License and PrDP with no current restrictions that prevent the application from performing the role.

• Minimum 3-4 years proven bus driving experience preferred.

• Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.

• Good geographical knowledge of operating areas.

• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Reliable, punctual and responsible.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Clean and responsible driving record.

• Own reliable transportation.

Advantageous

• Previous experience in passenger transport, staff transport or public transport.

• Experience driving large busses or similar heavy passenger vehicles.

• Basic vehicle inspection and fault-finding reporting knowledge.

• Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
