Duties & Responsibilities
About the Role
We’re hiring a sharp, detail-oriented Brand Protection Analyst / Enforcement Specialist to join our global enforcement team.
This is an execution-heavy role. You’ll identify real threats, take action across platforms, and follow through until cases are resolved. You’ll work across marketplaces, social platforms, websites, domains, and ad networks to help shut down counterfeit listings, scam stores, fake accounts, and other forms of brand abuse.
If you’re precise, persistent, comfortable with high-volume work, and motivated by catching bad actors, this role could be a strong fit.
What You’ll Own
Threat Identification
Review alerts from Bustem’s AI scanning system and confirm true infringements
Find and flag counterfeit listings, scam websites, impersonation accounts, unauthorized sellers, and fake ads
Prioritize threats based on urgency, client impact, and revenue risk
Spot repeat offenders, emerging platform trends, and gaps in current detection workflows
Enforcement & Takedowns
File DMCA, trademark, fraud, marketplace, domain, hosting, and social platform complaints
Take action across platforms like Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, eBay, Alibaba, Instagram, Facebook, domains, and hosting providers
Track takedown progress from submission through resolution
Document outcomes clearly, including success rate, time to action, and resolution status
Case Ownership
Own cases end-to-end: detection → enforcement → resolution
Follow through without needing constant direction or handoffs
Manage multiple active cases at once while maintaining accuracy
Escalate urgent or complex issues when needed, with clear context and recommended next steps
Client & Internal Communication
Communicate updates clearly to the internal ops team, platform reps, and, when needed, clients
Translate messy enforcement work into simple updates: what happened, what action was taken, and what result was achieved
Keep case notes, trackers, and enforcement records clean and up to date
Process Improvement
Contribute to improving SOPs, enforcement playbooks, workflows, and templates
Identify recurring issues, platform-specific patterns, and opportunities to improve speed or accuracy
Help Bustem scale enforcement quality as the company grows globally
What We’re Looking For
Native or Near Native written and spoken English
Extreme attention to detail and strong follow-through
Ability to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy
Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume work
Strong judgment around what is urgent, high-impact, or worth escalating
Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup environment
Proactive mindset — you do not wait around for step-by-step instructions
Reliable internet connection and ability to work flexible hours
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required Experience
1-3 years of experience in trust & safety, brand protection, marketplace operations, fraud, IP enforcement, e-commerce operations, or a similar execution-heavy role
Experience using multiple tools, trackers, and online platforms
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases at the same time
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketplaces like Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, eBay, Alibaba, or similar platforms
Exposure to DMCA, trademark complaints, IP enforcement, fraud reporting, or online abuse workflows
Background in e-commerce, digital operations, customer operations, trust & safety, or marketplace enforcement
Experience working in a fast-paced startup or remote team
Package & Remuneration
What You Get
Fully remote role
Competitive pay, with structure based on experience and scope
Opportunity to work directly with fast-growing 8- and 9-figure e-commerce brands
High-impact role on a small, fast-moving team
Clear ownership over real enforcement outcomes, not just monitoring
