Branch Managers JHB and BFN

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced and mature Branch Manager to take overall responsibility for the management and performance of a busy branch. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing 20+ employees , with strong leadership and people-management skills.

This is a hands-on senior management position requiring an individual who is commercially minded, financially astute and capable of managing people, operations, budgets and sales . The ideal candidate will have the authority and experience to lead a large team, drive performance, manage costs and ensure the branch operates efficiently and profitably.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overall management and responsibility for the branch and its day-to-day operations.

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of 20+ employees.

• Manage employee performance, discipline, attendance and productivity.

• Develop and manage branch budgets and control operational expenditure.

• Monitor financial performance, costs, margins and profitability.

• Drive sales and identify opportunities to grow the branch and customer base.

• Set and monitor sales and operational targets.

• Manage customer relationships and resolve escalated customer matters.

• Ensure efficient planning, workflow and resource allocation.

• Manage stock, equipment and other branch resources.

• Ensure company policies, procedures and operational standards are followed.

• Work closely with senior management and provide regular reports on branch performance.

• Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions.

• Develop a strong culture of accountability, performance and teamwork.

• Ensure compliance with applicable company, health and safety and operational requirements.

• Take full ownership of the branch's overall performance and results.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 10+ years' proven management experience, preferably in a branch, workshop, manufacturing, distribution or operational environment.

• Proven experience managing 20 or more employees.

• Demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership.

• Strong experience with budgets, financial management and cost control.

• Proven sales and business development experience.

• Experience managing operational targets and KPIs.

• Strong understanding of profitability and commercial decision-making.

• Excellent leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills.

• Ability to manage a diverse workforce and maintain discipline and accountability.

• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant business systems.

• A relevant management, business, operations or financial qualification would be advantageous.

• Mature, stable and experienced management profile with a proven record of taking ownership and delivering results.
