What you'll do
- Lead and motivate the branch team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage inventory levels and implement effective stock control procedures to minimise shrinkage and optimise product availability.
- Ensure strict adherence to cash handling protocols and maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee daily operational activities to ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for business growth and operational improvements.
- Develop and mentor staff by providing constructive feedback, training, and support to enhance individual and team performance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages accountability, innovation, and customer focus.
- Coordinate with corporate departments to implement promotional activities and new initiatives effectively.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Prepare and present regular reports on branch performance, highlighting achievements and areas for development.
What you bring
- Proven leadership experience in retail or sales management, demonstrating the ability to drive team performance and achieve business targets.
- Strong expertise in branch operations, including stock control, inventory management, and financial oversight.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, enabling effective resolution of operational challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and manage teams to deliver high levels of customer service and sales results.
- Proficient understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to analyse data to inform strategic decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Relevant educational qualifications in business, retail management, or a related field are preferred.
- Experience in financial management including budgeting, forecasting and cost control within a retail setting.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
