Job Title: Branch Manager (Building and Construction Retail) Location:  Meyerton Remuneration: R35 000 - R45 000

Our client, an industrial service provider, is looking for a Branch Manager (Building and Construction Retail) to join their team in Meyerton, Gauteng. We are looking for your experience in a Branch or Retail Management role, preferably in fencing, hardware, building materials, or a related industry.

Will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, staff performance, stock control, and compliance with company policies and procedures within the industry.

Duties & Responsibilities: Operational Management

  • Oversee the full operational function of the branch, including sales, installations trough sub-contractors, stock, and customer service
  • Ensure targets (sales, production, and installation) are met or exceeded
  • Manage branch budgets, costs and expenses to ensure profitability
  • Monitor and report on branch performance against KPIs

Sales & Customer Service

  • Drive sales growth through effective quoting, follow-up and customer relationship management
  • Ensure customer queries and complaints are resolved promptly and professionally
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors and suppliers

Stock & Inventory Control

  • Manage stock levels, ordering and stocktakes to minimise shrinkage and stockouts
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of stock movements and reconciliations
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding stock availability, pricing and delivery

Staff Management

  • Supervise and manage branch staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Manage leave, absenteeism and scheduling
  • Foster a positive, productive work environment

Health & Safety / Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act requirements and company safety policies
  • Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers
  • Ensure branch operations comply with relevant company policies and procedures

Administration

  • Prepare and submit branch reports (sales, stock, financial) as required
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, banking and administrative processes
  • Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems

Duties & Responsibilities

Required qualification and working knowledge

  • Matric (Grade 12); relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management/Sales advantageous
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a branch/retail management role, preferably in fencing, hardware, building materials or a related industry
  • Proven sales and staff management experience
  • Valid driver's licence
